Centerboard’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Work
““Centerboard’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion work is exemplary and unusual. Very few organizations have invested 7,500 hours of staff time and thousands of dollars in consultant fees to develop staff’s multicultural skills over the course of almost a decade. More organizations should follow Centerboard’s lead.””
Centerboard has engaged in meaningful diversity, equity and inclusion work since 2011. We use the framework and tools developed by VISIONS, Inc. to recognize, understand, and appreciate difference across many variables - going way beyond Federal and State EEOP requirements. In 2020, we were proud to consult with the Provider’s Council regarding the creation of their Call to Action on Racial Equity.
Our diversity, equity, and inclusion mission guides us to intentionally seek to not only acknowledge differences such as class, gender, race, level, etc., but truly try to recognize, understand and appreciate the impact of these differences in the work that we do in the community, with our colleagues and those we serve.
