We Rise brings together survivors of commercial sexual exploitation with key community allies in order to prevent, intervene against, and promote recovery from the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC).
Connect, Educate, Empower.
We Rise
Our comprehensive, survivor-informed program empowers girls and young women through:
Community Outreach: Engaging, educating, and training community organizations such as police, emergency responders, and mental health providers, supporting a fundamental shift in understanding, identification of, and response to victims ,spotting red flags and encouraging and facilitating systemic change
Emergency Intervention: Providing 24/7 on-call response to victims of CSEC, pairing outreach workers with victims to provide psychological first aid, ensure victims’ immediate comfort, health, and safety needs are met, and to offer in-person support and advocacy.
Transitional/Ongoing Supports: Assisting survivors as they work to rebuild their lives through trauma-informed case management--ensuring access to transitional or permanent housing, assistance with applying for benefits, educational placement, vocational training and securing employment, obtaining legal assistance, mental health referrals, on-site survivor-led group counseling and peer-support groups.
