Centerboard's Speakeasy Fundraiser Delivers an Unforgettable Night of Entertainment and Community Impact

On November 14, Centerboard transformed the Palette Function Room into a hidden Prohibition-era speakeasy, welcoming guests for an evening of mystery, entertainment, and philanthropy in support of programs that strengthen youth and families across the North Shore.

From the moment attendees arrived, the experience transported them back in time. Guests made their way through a discreet entrance and whispered a secret password before stepping into an immersive 1920s-inspired atmosphere complete with live music, casino games, handcrafted cocktails, a silent auction, and vintage décor.

More than just a themed celebration, the evening served as a fundraiser benefiting three of Centerboard's cornerstone programs: We Rise, T.R.U.E. Mentorship, and the Lynn Family Resource Center. Proceeds from the event help provide essential services that empower youth, strengthen families, and create opportunities for long-term stability throughout the community.

"Our goal was to create an experience that was both memorable and meaningful," said Centerboard's Development team. "Every game played, every auction bid, and every ticket purchased helped support programs that change lives every day. It was incredible to see our community come together for such an important cause while embracing the fun and excitement of the evening."

Guests fully embraced the spirit of the Roaring Twenties, arriving in elegant vintage attire and immersing themselves in every aspect of the event. The combination of live entertainment, friendly competition at the casino tables, exciting auction items, and the mystery surrounding the secret entrance created an atmosphere unlike any other fundraising event.

While the evening celebrated the glamour and intrigue of the Prohibition era, its true purpose remained rooted in Centerboard's mission. Funds raised will directly support:

We Rise, providing advocacy, education, and trauma-informed support for youth at risk of or impacted by commercial sexual exploitation.

T.R.U.E. Mentorship, connecting Black, Indigenous, and other boys and young men of color with trusted mentors who foster confidence, leadership, and long-term success.

The Lynn Family Resource Center, offering parenting support, food assistance, clothing, transportation resources, youth programming, and other critical services for families throughout the Greater Lynn community.

The event also showcased the versatility of Centerboard's Palette Function Room, demonstrating how the venue can be transformed into unique, immersive experiences while bringing people together in support of meaningful causes.
